INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ’AGENTS OF CHANGE’
The Thomas Institute and the Franciscan Study Center will cooperate in organizing an international conference on 29 and 30 June and July 1, 2022 in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Paper proposals are welcome.
Theme: Agents of Change. Moral Conversion and Social Transformation
Keynote speakers: Fr. David B. Couturier OFM. Cap. (St. Bonaventure University); Dr. Angela Knobel (University of Dallas); Prof. dr. Brian Treanor (Loyola Marymount University).
Theme: This conference aims to chart the multiform phenomenon of moral conversion in Western society and aims to renew its understanding. Themes to be addressed may be:
1. Moral conversion as an ethical, spiritual, psychological and or social phenomenon
2. Mendicant conversion
3 Moral conversion in testimonies and theories
4 Modern day (wicked) problems and moral conversion: leadership, care, sustainability, happiness.
