VALEDICTORY ADDRESS HENK SCHOOT
Henk Schoot, Professor for the Theology of Thomas Aquinas, will deliver his valedictory address, entitled "The grace of baptism", on Friday March 3, 2023 at 4:15 pm, in the Auditorium of Tilburg University, Warandelaan 2, 5037 AB Tilburg, The Netherlands. Since 2006 is Schoot professor for the Theology of Thomas Aquinas at the Tilburg School of Catholic Theology (TST) and since 2009 director of the Thomas Institute Utrecht (Tilburg University). He has been a staff member of the TST and its predecessor since 1989. He will retire as of March 1, 2023. Schoot will reach the age of 65 in that month. His valedictory address is devoted to the Sacrament of Baptism, approached from early baptismal imagery and the theology of Church Fathers and medieval theologians, as well as from the needs of the synodal process in the Catholic Church and the ecumenical dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Lutheran World Federation.
